Indeed everyone can see that this image is from a fairy tale, a strange one of course. But it is not the beginning if the tale. This is not the "once upon a time ...". It seems tailored to represent the final tale, after which no other children's fairy tale can be written. The "children's final fairy tale", indeed.
But the story is only apparently in the sunlight, maybe it is lived on the edge of the last ray of light or just after it. The afterglow of the tale.
But I told that there are two reading keys. The above was the former. The latter is maybe simpler: I was diving under 2300 feet in the deep ocean (I'm a skilled scuba diver) and suddenly two dolphins appeared, jumping all around me. At the same time the well-known ball-fishes (very curious fishes, you know) come to give a glance to this unusual scenario, making it even more unusual. I was lucky: I had with me my camera (yeha, you guessed right, water resistant) and I was fast enough to freeze all this in the image you see.
Fantastic day, that day !Zeframhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00765276372346075547noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6480959764631927910.post-46772338793300860442010-09-02T12:18:00.000-07:002010-09-02T12:22:32.841-07:00New video from Zefram (music: AWIM "private story")Zeframhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00765276372346075547noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6480959764631927910.post-18036305559348629222010-07-23T14:52:00.001-07:002010-07-23T15:04:15.193-07:00Air attacck to hay bales and collateral damages
Terrible story.
I decided to try the career of war photo journalist and thus I moved to the "hot" area of the front fire line.
I knew the general situation, but I did not expect it to be hard and merciless in that way.
I have been the witness of an attack carried out by the air forces against the hay bales. Of course you would expect to see the ancient walls, but .... no way, those ruins play no role in this image. The site was so simple and straightforward to be suitable enough for this image.
We took the tables, the dishes, the balls and the inflatable dolphins, along with a lot of other stuff you don't see in the image (all the stuff is on the grass behind the camera). maciej made a lot of work in moving tables, keeping nylon wires hanging balls and fixing the dolphins. Giampaolo spent all the time in taking images and videos, thinking to make a "The making of Dolphin's starvation", to be shared on Youtube or elsewhere. Maciej worked hard and you could have made a time fix with a precision similar to an atomic clock, because on a 5-minutes time basis, he continuously repeated "Damn, here is really hot". Hu .... well, he was right ...it was really hot.Zeframhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00765276372346075547noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6480959764631927910.post-15812511767858015502010-06-20T04:33:00.000-07:002010-06-20T04:37:53.304-07:00No man's land
You can walk in a land of "magnets and miracles", but paying no attention to all of them.

Every given day we walk in the amazing world of our mind, where every miracle id possible and where the impossible is the ordinary way of how things happen. But when you have with you guitars, tripod and a suitcase with lot of things stuffed in it .... well, it becomes quite cumbersome.

To keep the guitars in the right position was really difficult; the sand was like mud and the tripod was very unstable. Nevertheless all was done and after 40 mins. or so the mission was accomplished.
It was time to go away ... I was putting all the things in the case ... when I heard a sound like "splash" and then "zzzzzzz ...... clack clack".

Guess what ?
The tripod, with the camera (and the 10mm) still mounted on it, splashed in the salty water and the camera started to do every sort of crazy things.
At the end of the day, this has been my most expensive photograph ever.Zeframhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00765276372346075547noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6480959764631927910.post-37435515599643752602009-11-15T10:18:00.000-08:002009-11-22T17:31:41.286-08:00Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast (II)This is an old image and I love it because of a specific matter.
I set up the stage at my mother's and the legs you see belong to a friend of mine: Ottavio Caiazzo, a wonderful person with a kind, friendly attitude, open to life and capable to see the good part hidden in anything, doesn't matter how nasty it is.

Ottavio was killed by the sea many years ago.

But he's still alive in my soul, as well as in the memory of all people who, in a way or the other, come in touch with him.Zeframhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00765276372346075547noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6480959764631927910.post-20116471999445147602008-07-31T16:26:00.001-07:002009-11-15T10:18:43.157-08:00Echoes project (video part)It is some time now that I've been developing this project.

The main focus is on the making of a visualtrack (analogously with the "soundtrack") for the "Echoes" sing by Pink Floyd ().

This video (still incomplete so far) is a first embryonic attempt of merging my images with the music.

I hope that in not a too long time a final version will see the sunlight.
Zeframhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00765276372346075547noreply@blogger.com0
