The afterglow of the children's final fairy tale

Uh, well, ... what to say ?

There are two reading keys for image.
It could be seen as a translation into an image of the Pink Floyd's song "Childhood's end". Indeed everyone can see that this image is from a fairy tale, a strange one of course. But it is not the beginning if the tale. This is not the "once upon a time ...". It seems tailored to represent the final tale, after which no other children's fairy tale can be written. The "children's final fairy tale", indeed.
But the story is only apparently in the sunlight, maybe it is lived on the edge of the last ray of light or just after it. The afterglow of the tale.
But I told that there are two reading keys. The above was the former. The latter is maybe simpler: I was diving under 2300 feet in the deep ocean (I'm a skilled scuba diver) and suddenly two dolphins appeared, jumping all around me. At the same time the well-known ball-fishes (very curious fishes, you know) come to give a glance to this unusual scenario, making it even more unusual. I was lucky: I had with me my camera (yeha, you guessed right, water resistant) and I was fast enough to freeze all this in the image you see.
Fantastic day, that day !

Air attacck to hay bales and collateral damages

Terrible story.
I decided to try the career of war photo journalist and thus I moved to the "hot" area of the front fire line.
I knew the general situation, but I did not expect it to be hard and merciless in that way.
I have been the witness of an attack carried out by the air forces against the hay bales. A sudden, terrible attack with overwhelming forces against the two poor hay bales.
Despite the high-tec equipment, claimed to have surgical capabilities, achieving zero collateral victims, as you can see some collateral effect has been suffered.
Or maybe nothing of the above is true.
The aircrafts are just joking and having fun making acrobatic evolutions around the hay bales and the human on the grass is probably taking a sunbath or maybe is just sleeping. And Tweety is looking at the happy and amusing situation.
Or maybe not: it is a real bloody war scene. Or not ? Maybe? Yes. No. Hu ! !

Margarita Brenner-Grigorova: a remarkable artist

I found the artwork of Margarita on photo-forum.net and I have to confess that I'm still astonished for her fantasy, creativity, irony.
Images with a constant smile, with an eternal joke, taking you by hand in a real world made of unreal and unexpected characters and situations.
Margarita's art is the thin edge beyond which you enter in Alice's wonderland, in a realm made of vivid and limpid dreams, with surprises hiding behind each corner.
I strongly suggest you to fruitfully employ one hour of your time and travel across her world in her portfolio on photo-forum.

Dolphin's starvation

A funny day (but damn hot: it was June 25th).
We were at work, with my colleagues Maciej and Gianpaolo.
I spotted this location a few days before: it is just beneath the ancient walls of Rome, close to Porta Metronia. Of course you would expect to see the ancient walls, but .... no way, those ruins play no role in this image. The site was so simple and straightforward to be suitable enough for this image.
We took the tables, the dishes, the balls and the inflatable dolphins, along with a lot of other stuff you don't see in the image (all the stuff is on the grass behind the camera). maciej made a lot of work in moving tables, keeping nylon wires hanging balls and fixing the dolphins. Giampaolo spent all the time in taking images and videos, thinking to make a "The making of Dolphin's starvation", to be shared on Youtube or elsewhere. Maciej worked hard and you could have made a time fix with a precision similar to an atomic clock, because on a 5-minutes time basis, he continuously repeated "Damn, here is really hot". Hu .... well, he was right ...it was really hot.

No man's land

You can walk in a land of "magnets and miracles", but paying no attention to all of them.

Every given day we walk in the amazing world of our mind, where every miracle id possible and where the impossible is the ordinary way of how things happen. However we are too busy and folded into ourselves to recognise that the every dream is real and into ourselves.

And this land belongs to no man.

Extreme starvation breakfast

This is the very first attempt with the brand new Canon 7D.
It belongs to the "Psychedelic home project" and it has been quite difficult to make, especially to keep the forks spoons and knives still on the body of the model (those on the wall were easy).

In my view the model posture is perfect to represent the boredom and "out-of-context" mood that was intended to have in this image.

Of course there is an extreme starvation in there.
