Berenika: an outstanding artist

This post is dedicated to Berenika, a dreamer from Poland.

Her images are unexpected dreams coming out from one of the most creative eyes ever seen.
Things transform above their meaning and the poetry translates into echoes of images beyond their interpretation. The viewer of Berenika's images are taken into an impossible universe of possible things.

In the sparkling sheds

During the Christmas holidays, waking on the beach, I noticed these sheds.
It was a real unreal day, with a stormy weather, stormy clouds and wet all around. But there was a shining light and all around was bright.
This crazy instant before the sunset led me to the vision of this image.
All is so real to seem unreal, so flowing to seem frozen.
And the image come and you can see it now.
I hope to have been able to transfer the feelings of that moment.

Echoes of a distant tide (II)

The making of this image has been a real enterprise.
The location is very difficult to reach: no roads, no direct access .... you have to walk on the rocks a long time and then walk in the water (1 m depth, luckily).
As far as you do it just with a camera ... no problem. But when you have with you guitars, tripod and a suitcase with lot of things stuffed in it .... well, it becomes quite cumbersome.

To keep the guitars in the right position was really difficult; the sand was like mud and the tripod was very unstable. Nevertheless all was done and after 40 mins. or so the mission was accomplished.
It was time to go away ... I was putting all the things in the case ... when I heard a sound like "splash" and then "zzzzzzz ...... clack clack".

Guess what ?
The tripod, with the camera (and the 10mm) still mounted on it, splashed in the salty water and the camera started to do every sort of crazy things.
At the end of the day, this has been my most expensive photograph ever.

Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast (II)

This is an old image and I love it because of a specific matter.
I set up the stage at my mother's and the legs you see belong to a friend of mine: Ottavio Caiazzo, a wonderful person with a kind, friendly attitude, open to life and capable to see the good part hidden in anything, doesn't matter how nasty it is.

Ottavio was killed by the sea many years ago.

But he's still alive in my soul, as well as in the memory of all people who, in a way or the other, come in touch with him.

Echoes project (video part)

It is some time now that I've been developing this project.

The main focus is on the making of a visualtrack (analogously with the "soundtrack") for the "Echoes" sing by Pink Floyd ().

This video (still incomplete so far) is a first embryonic attempt of merging my images with the music.

I hope that in not a too long time a final version will see the sunlight.
